Minvera M. Fishburn of Spencer died Friday at the Hilltop Care Center in Spirit Lake. She was 87
The daughter of Judson and Mary Jane (Matthews) Manwarren, she was born, June 29, 1897, in Renwick. Mrs. Fishburn spent her childhood in the Rolfe area and attended schools in Rolfe and Plover
She married Jesse M. Fishburn on November 17, 1915 in Pocahontas. They lived in Spencer, where she was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Mrs. Fishburn had been a resident of the Hilltop Care Center for the past four years
Survivors include her son, Andrew of Spencer; two daughter, Helen Gamble of Humboldt and Charlene Craig of Everly; 15 grandchildren; 27 great grandchildren; and one sister, Agnes Myers of Spencer
Mrs. Fishburn was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, four sons, three daughters, three brothers and one sister
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. today at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Spencer. The Rev. Robert McClintock will officiate
Casket Bearers will be Greg Manwarren, Norman Craig, Dan Peterson, Jim Myers, John Gamble and Dwayne Craig
Burial will be in the Lone Tree Cemetery in Everly
A scripture service was held Sunday night at the Warner Chapel
The Warner Funeral Home is in charge of the service arrangements
