Former Pastor of Church Here Dies In Minneapolis
The Rev. Norman Lambly, former pastor of the Cherokee Congregational church, died Christmas day in Minneapolis Minn., according to word just received by Mrs. Lloyd Knipe.
Mrs. Knipe received the word in a letter from Mrs. Charles Helin of Rochester, who had received notification of the death.
The pastor became unconscious December 24 and died quietly at 8:15 p.m., the following night. Burial was in Minneapolis following final rites December 28.
At the services were two daughters, Mrs. Tom Turner of Iowa City, and Mrs. Constance Perlick of Minneapolis, and a son, Harry Lambly.
The Cherokee Congregational church was dissolved a number of years ago. Its building is now owned by the Bethlehem Lutheran congregation. (Source: The Cherokee Daily Times, Tues, Jan 11, 1944, pg. 6)
