Mrs. Peter L. Miller, 62, of Marathon died Wednesday morning, July 12, at Alta following an extended illness. She was a former resident of Cherokee.

She is survived by her husband, Peter of Marathon; two sons Rodney Miller of Ruthven and Eldon of Alta; and a daughter, Mrs. Clarence (Wanette) Moval, Alta; 14 grandchildren. Three sisters, Mrs. Gordan Hall of Green Bay, Wis., Mrs. Marvin Gano of Milford and Mrs. Otto Jacobson of Ruthven and two brothers, Lyle and Evan Booth, both of Cherokee, also survive.

Funeral services were Saturday, July 25, from Grace Lutheran Church at Marathon followed by burial at Marathon Cemetery under direction of Nelson Funeral Home of Albert City. (Source: The Cherokee Courier, Thurs, Jul 30, 1964, pg. 3)
