FUNERAL OF MRS. SNIDECOR
Laid Beside Her Little Daughter in Oak Hill Cemetery

The funeral of Mrs. George E. Snidecor was held at the residence of her brother J. L. Ferrin, Sunday afternoon, Rev. Sauerman of Washta, conducting the services. The attendance was very large; a special train having brought a crowd of old friends and neighbors from Washta.

Mrs. Snidecor was Jessie June Ferrin and was born in Mt. Carroll, Ill., in 1871. At eighteen years of age, she came with her family to Cherokee. She was married to George E. Snidecor in the fall of 1893 and went to reside at Washta, which was her home till the family moved to California in 1908.

An illness of several months ended in her death at her home in Corona. She was profoundly affected by the death of her little daughter, Esther, which occurred the year before the family went to California.

Her remains were laid beside her child here in our cemetery. She left a little boy, John, now eighteen months of age.

Mrs. Snidecor was as popular and beloved in Corona as she had been in her old home here and in Washta. She bore her last illness with great patience and gratitude towards the many friends who loved her and showed kindly interest in her.
