Death Has Come Again

Harris Wheeler Keith, the only son of Mr. and Mrs. Will Keith was born in Tilden Township, Cherokee County, Iowa, Dec. 31st, 1886, and died March 13, 1899, after a short illness with appendicitis, age 12 years, 2 months, 13 days. He was taken sick Friday evening, after returning from school, and died Monday at half past one o’clock. All was done that medical aid and loving hands could not, but the death messenger came and took Harris home. He was a noble boy, kind, and obedient at home and at school, loved by his teachers and schoolmates. He leaves three sisters, a father, mother, many relatives and hosts of friends to mourn his loss.

The funeral occurred at his home Wednesday at two o’clock, conducted by Rev. J. B. Camerer. Mr. Camerer preached an able, eloquent and touching sermon, after which the remains of little Harris were laid to rest in the Tilden Cemetery.
