PIERSON, Iowa – Eleanore M. Jerman, 58, of Pierson died unexpectedly Friday, Nov. 6, 1998, at a Sioux City hospital.

Services will be Tuesday at Pierson United Methodist Church. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be after 2 p.m. today with the family present 7 to 8 p.m., at Earnest Michaelson Funeral Home in Kingsley, Iowa.

Mrs. Jerman was born April 12, 1940, in Nevada, Iowa, the daughter of Glen and Dorothea (Nehring) Corbin.

She married Duane Jerman on Feb. 11, 1961. She was employed with Northwestern Bell Telephone, helped prepare meals for people in the community and with Woodbury County Community Action Agency as a senior aide director for 17 years.

She was a member of Pierson United Methodist Church.

Survivors include her husband, three daughters and their husbands, Lori and Brett Carter, Brenda and Robert Dunkelberger and Stacey and Chris Skains, all of Fort Worth, Texas; two sons, Michael and his wife, Jacqueline, of Joliet, Ill., and Henry of Pierson; eight grandchildren; a great-grandchild; three brothers and their wives, Chuck and Gloria Corbin of Ames, Iowa; Fred and Ruth Corbin of Sioux Center, Iowa and Gary and Mary Corbin of Omaha, Neb.; a stepbrother, John Tolicison; and a stepsister, Doris Ofstuin.

She was preceded in death by her parents.
