Funeral services for Floyd Dallege, 76, Atalissa, were held April 4, 1997 at Fry Funeral Home in Tipton, with the Revs. Norman Anderson, Mario Padilla and Bruce Williams officiating. Pallbearers were Larry Hill, Sr., Leonard Eichelberger, Larry Hill, Jr., Larry Blake, Ron Blick and Karl Nebergall. Honorary pallbearers were Jim Campbell, Matt Campbell and Max Middleton. Burial was in the Bethel cemetery, Atalissa.

Mr. Dallege died April 2 at Mercy hospital in Iowa City, from congestive heart failure.

The son of Vance O. and Nellie Mae Buckman Dallege, he was born Oct. 2, 1920 in rural Tipton. He attended Sandy Hook country school. He married Dorothy Ethel Helen Westphal on June 19, 1940 in Stanwood. She died July 14, 1980. He married Jeanetta Campbell Brouwers on Dec. 23, 1981 in Rochester.

Mr. Dallege had farmed in Cedar county since 1941.

He was a member of the Rochester Methodist church, the Rochester Labor Day committee, and the Atalissa Betterment committee.

Mr. Dallege is survived by his wife, Jeanetta, Atalissa; 4 daughters, Carol (Mrs. Ron) Mathias, Davenport; Dori (Mrs. Stephen) Neidt, Geneseo, Ill.; Dee (Mrs. Arturo) Rivera II, Muscatine; and Joan (Mrs. Lawrence) Maske, West Branch; 2 sons, William (Erma) Dallege; and Rick (Pam) Dallege, both of Tipton; 3 step-daughters, Karen Hare, Denison; Nancy Brandt, Davenport and Pam Dallege, Tipton; a step-son, Dan Brouwers, Davenport; 3 sisters, Edna Ahrens, Davenport; and Clara Eves and Frances Ahrens, both of Tipton; 2 brothers, Harley Dallege, Clarence; and Darrell Dallege, Tipton; 21 grandchildren; and 8 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his first wife; his parents; and 2 brothers, Leo Dallege and an infant brother.
