Funeral services for Peggy Hasselbusch, 49, Clarence, were held April 7, 1997 at St. John's United Church of Christ in Clarence, with the Rev. Rodney Slessor officiating. Mrs. Robert Hasselbusch was the organist and the St. John's adult choir sang. Pallbearers were Chad Mostaert, Carl Griffith, Robert Hasselbusch, William Bachman, Stephen Richards and Kevin Wiskus. Burial was in St. John's cemetery.

Mrs. Hasselbusch died April 3 at St. Luke's hospital in Cedar Rapids, following a brief illness.

The daughter of Raymond and Mabel Allison Gottschalk, she was born April 21, 1947 in Lowden. She married Allan Hasselbusch June 6, 1970 in Lowden.

Mrs. Hasselbusch was a member of St. John's United Church of Christ and the Midwest Antique Engine and Tractor Club of Cedar Rapids. She enjoyed crafts and loved to collect old kerosene lamps. She also enjoyed the Old Threshers Reunion each year in Mt. Pleasant.

She is survived by her husband; a son, Ronald, Clarence; 2 daughters, Sheri Pearson, Cedar Rapids; and Jill Hasselbusch, Lowden; her mother, Mabel Wildman, Western, Iowa; a sister, Patricia Scherbring, Enid, Okla.; a half-sister, Dorothy Everett, Davenport; and 5 grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her father and a half-sister.
