Funeral services for Verl Edgar Nebergall, 89, Tipton, will be held at 10:30 a.m. today, Wednesday, April 9, 1997 at Fry Funeral Home in Tipton, with the Revs. Allen Nebergall and Norman Anderson officiating. Pallbearers are Tim Neese, Brent Schultz, Ron Bozwell, Richard Nebergall, David Nebergall and Myrl Edler. Honorary pallbearers are Clare Nebergall, Marvin Wilkerson, Steven Chambliss, Herbert Whitmer, Parker Burroughs, Dwain Ford, Dwayne Drager, Harold Hass and Jack Reeve. Burial was in the South Bethel cemetery, Tipton.

Mr. Nebergall died April 6 at Cedar Manor Nursing Home in Tipton, from congestive heart failure.

The son of Charles Anthony and Nettie May Chapman Nebergall, he was born Feb. 19, 1908 in Cedar county. He attended the Union school in Center township, Cedar county. He married Mabel Gertrude Horn on May 30, 1931 in Rochester.

Mr. Nebergall was a farmer.

He was a member of the South Bethel United Methodist church, the Farm Bureau and he was a former Sunday school teacher.

He is survived by his wife; 3 sons, Allen (Beverly) Nebergall, Tampa, Fla.; and Kenneth Nebergall and Glen (Susan) Nebergall, both of Tipton; a daughter, Marilyn (Mrs. Don) Schultz, Sioux City; 2 sisters, Anna Nebergall and Mrs. Freda Chambliss, both of Tipton; a brother, Jerald Nebergall, Tipton; 7 grandchildren; and 7 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; 2 sisters, Irma Nebergall and Eleanor Purviance; and 2 brothers, William Nebergall and Loyd Nebergall.
