Funeral services for Ruth Ann Grau Siebel, 65, Bennett, were held April 1, 1997 at Peace Church of Christ United in Bennett, with Pastor Dick Schafbuch officiating. Perry Schroeder was the organist and pallbearers were Jerod Timmerman, Bob Wilkins, Jr., Jim Wilson, Stan Leeper, Bob Glaser and Ken Beuthein. Honorary pallbearers were Jessica and Jaclyn Timmerman; Brandie, Ryne and Kace Siebel; Kayla and Kortney Wendt, and Elle Heedles. Burial was in the Inland cemetery, with graveside ceremonies by the Legion Auxiliary.
Mrs. Siebel died March 29 at her home in Bennett from complications of cancer.
The daughter of Edward and Alma Wiese Grau, she was born Feb. 29, 1932 in Walcott. She attended the Walcott and Davenport schools. She married Lloyd William Siebel Nov. 5, 1949 in Davenport.
Mrs. Siebel was an interior decorator and a farm wife.
She was a member of Peace Church of Christ United in Bennett, the Bennett Legion Auxiliary, Garden Club, Bennett town council and the church council.
Mrs. Siebel loved dancing, flowers, quilting, cards, bowling, Pepsi and laughing.
She is survived by 3 daughters, Kerri Timmerman and husband Kim, Bennett; Kathy Heedles and husband Henry, Vienna, Austria; and Kristi Wendt and husband Dave, Bennett; a son, Kevin Siebel and wife Brenda, Tipton; 2 sisters, Juanita Upson and husband Harry, W. Columbia, S.C.; and Bonnie Freeze, Bennett; a brother, Edward Grau and wife Bernice, Wilton, 9 grandchildren, Jerod, Jessica and Jaclyn Timemrman; Brandie, Ryne and Kace Siebel, Kayla and Kortney Wendt, and Elle Heedles. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband on Aug. 7, 1993 and a brother, Arthur Grau.
Memorials may be made to Peace Church in Bennett and Genesis Hospice of VNA.
