Funeral services for Mary F. Workman, 95, Clarence, were held March 22, 1997 at Chapman Funeral Home in Clarence, with the Rev. Michael Elmore officiating. Pallbearers were John, Francis, Kenneth, Todd, Jeff and Duane Yock. Burial was in the Clarence cemetery.

Mrs. Workman died March 19 at the Mechanicsville Care Center, following a brief illness.

The daughter of John and Mary Sisler Gortnor, she was born March 23, 1901 in rural Clarence. She married Clark Workman in July 1920 in Cedar Rapids. He died in 1982.

Mrs. Workman was a member of the Clarence United Methodist church and the Royal Neighbors.

She is survived by a daughter, Lois Yock, Cedar Rapids; 5 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and 2 sisters.
