Funeral services for Bernice B. Forde, 81, Lowden, will be held at 10:00 a.m. today, Wednesday, March 26, 1997 at Chapman Funeral Home in Clarence, with the Rev. Vernon Clausing officiating. Burial will be in the Lowden cemetery.

Mrs. Forde died March 23, at St. Luke's hospital in Cedar Rapids, following a brief illness.

The daughter of Emil and Anna Mohr Petrusch, she was born Oct. 8, 1915 in Marion. She married Julian Forde May 10, 1944 in Wisconsin. He died May 3, 1967.

She had been employed by Cornell College in Mt. Vernon, the Elk's Club and Killians Tea Room in Cedar Rapids.

Mrs. Forde was a member of the Senior Citizens of Lowden.

She is survived by a daughter, Patti and husband James Mussig, Tipton; 2 sons, Steven and wife Donna, Marion; and David and wife Brigette, Mechanicsville; a sister, Marianne McHugh, Cedar Rapids; 6 grandchildren and a great-grandson. She was preceded in death by her parents; 2 sisters, Amelia and Emma Petrusch; and 3 brothers, Albert, John and Ike Petrusch.
