Oldest Inmate of Reformatory Dead
Sophie Krueger, aged 82 years, the oldest inmate in the Rockwell City state reformatory of women, died at the reformatory early last Sunday morning. She was serving a life sentence, having been sentenced in Howard County in 1903, and was transferred to Rockwell City from Anamosa when the local institution first opened. Funeral services were held at the reformatory Monday afternoon, Rev. F. C. Beitelspacher officiating. Interment in the reformatory cemetery.
