Born August 10th 1922 in Kansas City, MO and adopted by Dayrel & Alice Wingert 2 months after birth. Melva passed away Sunday morning January 5th,2014 with family by her side at the age of 91.Melva loved collecting teddy bears and as an avid Airstreamer Melva and her husband Lloyd traveled the USA. Melva enjoyed her title as "First Lady" of the Airstreem Association when her husband officiated as President of the Iowa Unit. During the farming season they enjoyed their farm in Iowa. Proceeding her in death her beloved husband of 61 years Lloyd and their son Thomas. She is survived by their other 2 children Sandra and Norman & also her 2 grandchildren AJ (August) & Pamela Johnson. A memorial service will be held at Messinger Mortuary, 7601 E. Indian School Rd, Scottsdale at 10:00 am Saturday, Jan 11th. In lieu of flowers the family has requested donations to Phoenix Children's Hospital.
