She was born to Eugene and Hazel “Pat” (Whitehead) Loomis on March 21, 1967 in Waterloo, Iowa. She attended Denver Community Schools and graduated in 1986. After graduation, Jackie enlisted in the Air Force following in the footsteps of her father and brothers and proudly served her country. She completed her basic training at Lackland Air Force Base near San Antonio.

She met Keith Ballard at Grissom Air Force Base while serving as one of the first women in her specialty of Base Security Forces. The two married and had one child, Brandi Marie. They later divorced and Jackie moved back to Iowa. She met C.J. Lensing while she lived in Hazleton and the two married on September 28, 1996 at Zion Lutheran Church in Oelwein. Together, they had two children, Joseph and Jonathan.

Jackie went to Hawkeye Community College to earn her degree as a secretary and worked at Vogel Insurance and later Cetera Investment Services. She served as a board member at the American Legion in Oelwein and was recently working as a bartender at the American Legion. She loved working and loved meeting people and loved her new job.

She was a loving grandmother to Kinsee, Ryker, and Quincy. She loved spending time with them, taking them camping, and doing fun activities with them. They will miss her greatly.

Jackie never missed an opportunity to tell her three children how proud of them she was. She always referred to them as the three greatest things she ever did. Jackie was a caring friend, and was the life of the party. She could make anyone laugh by quoting movie scenes and doing her Cynthia Impression. She will be missed greatly.

Jackie is survived by her husband, C.J. Lensing; three children: Brandi (Daniel) Banks, Joseph and Jonathan (Ashley Ricchio) Lensing; grandchildren: Alexis, Kinsee, Ryker and Quincy Banks; three brothers: Gene Jr. (Tricia), Mike (April), and Mark (Robin) Loomis; her father and mother in law, Clair & Mary Lensing; her brother in law, Jim (Sunni) Lensing and her sister in law, Sue (Dave) Elizondo; two aunts: Marjorie Grimm and Dorothy (Lee) Buhr; and many cousins, nieces, and nephews. She is preceded into death by her parents and grandparents.
