Ludlow No. 7
Section 26, Ludlow twp.

1935

Our six months of school closed on February first. In spite of the cold weather six pupils have been neither absent nor tardy this last period. They are: Oliver Hermeier, Leo Klocke, Bennie Fiet, Galadys Hermeier, Bernita Klocke and Alice Hermeier.

We are sorry that we lost one of our pupils, Helen Kostman, who has moved to Postville.

Our blackboards are decorated with sleds and dogs at present.

Calvin Kostman of the first grade has just completed the Beacon First Reader. He is now reading Good Times On The Farm.

1936

Friday, October 30, closed our second six weeks of school. Those having a perfect attendance record were: Gertrude and Roland Lawson, Gladys and Alice Hermeier, Marjorie Stock, Hazel, Bernita and Milo Klocke, Willis Brandt and Robert Fiet.

Marjorie Stock, Raymond Shafer and Bennie Fiet are on the honor roll.

Marjorie is the first one to have her name on the dental honor roll.

We are busy decorating our room for Thanksgiving. We plan to entertain Ludlow No. 8 at a Thanksgiving party.

Kittenball has been the big entertainment in this period. We have played five games. Our team has crossed the plate 83 times, our opponents only 68.

Our school program was October 20. We gave a play, "The Ghost Chaser." The young people of districts Nos. 7 and 8 gave another play at the Waukon Opera House, Nov. 23.

Our recent visitors are: Darlene and Mary Ann Klocke, Marian Kostman, Kay Smith, Addie Peake, Edith and Arthur Fiet, Albert Fiet, Oliver Hermeier, Robert Klocke, Velma and Bernice Shafer, Harris Evans, Howard Lawson, Gertrude Tompkins, Mrs. Whalen, Miss Peterson and the Evergreen kittenball team, Miss Hagen and Myron kittenball team. Visitors are always welcome at our school.

Albert Fiet, our director, has made a sand pile for the primary children.
