Allamakee School Notes of Interest To The Public

Final Reports

Final term reports have been received from Ludlow No. 5. This rural school has completed their work for this school year. A record of perfect attendance throughout the entire term was achieved by the following pupils: Donald Klein, Robert Stock, Donald Flage, Arlo Klein and Lois Fiet. Every rural pupil who is able to attain a complete perfect attendance for the year will receive and award of merit from the office of the county superindendent.

Our first six weeks came to a close Sept. 20. We have been an enrollment of 14 children. Those neither absent nor tardy are as follows: Donald Flage, Lois Fiet, Ruth, Doris, Donald and Arlene Hager and Robert Winkie.

Pupils receiving 100 percent in their six weeks tests were Lester Hager, geography; Donald Flage, reading; Arlo Klein, received the highest average this period.

Our sand table illustrated a village street. Our bulletin board has been enlarged. It displays drawings of the art class and seat work made by the first and second grades.

Library books and first and second grade readers have been purchased.

Our school gave a benefit dance on the evening of Friday, September 27. An entertainment was made possible by the following pupils: Louis Fiet, Alice, Dona Jean and Joan Helming, and Ruth and Doris Hager.

Visitors for this period have been Betty Tillotson of Jordan, Iowa; Bernice Herman, Waukon; Clara Hefty and Martha Wendel of Lansing.
