GLOVER PLOT CEMETERY
Fairview Township, Allamakee county Iowa

The Glover Plot is located in the SW 1/4 of Section 15-96-3 on Luster Heights grounds. Arriving in 1849 Armstrong Glover was one of the landowners to plat Johnsonsport and he is credited with giving the township the name of Fairview. At his wish he was buried near the edge of a high bluff overlooking the Mississippi River. His tombstone reads:

Armstrong Glover, Son of Isaac. Born May 16, 1816 Dauphin Co., PA, Married Dec 1845 Steuben Co., IN. Died Mar 3, 1866 - Six children. Emily his wife, Dau of A. C. Britton, Dec 15 1825 - Nov 6, 1862.
