Ole O. Busness (aka Olav Olavson Trones) was born at Busnes, in the Bu Community, on the Eid Fiord in Norway. He was married to Martha Halgeirsdatter (Holgersdatter) Djønne in 1855. In 1859 Ole, Martha and their first two children, Oline and Jorgina (Julia) emigrated to America. In the U.S. Ole adopted Busness as his family name. They went to northeast Iowa and settled on a small farm about 3 miles east of Waterville. In 1865 they purchased a farm 1½ miles east of Waterville, where they lived for the remainder of their lives. Ole died in April 1908 and Martha died in August of 1908. They are buried in the East Paint Creek Synod cemetery, Paint Creek twp. Photo of their gravestones.

Edward Mikael - 1870-1948, married Mathilda M. Anderson
