Lola F. Wood Is Graduated From A Naval School

Miss Lola F. Wood of 1312 Farnam street, Davenport, is now ready to serve as a storekeeper in the U.S. navy. A member of the WAVES, she was graduated from the naval training school for storekeepers located on the campus of the University of Indiana, Bloomington, Ind.

She will now be assigned to active duty at some naval shore station.

Sisters Serve

A "100 per cent family" may be credited to Mrs. Lola Wood, 1312 Farnam street, mother of two daughters in the army nurses corps and the WAVES. Mrs. Wood is now employed at the Rock Island arsenal, helping to keep up production of war materials.

Lieut. Dorothy Alice Wood is now stationed at the evacuation hospital in Hyder, Ariz., and was recently home on leave. She entered the nurse corps in December 1942 and was first stationed at Ft. Des Moines. She received her training at Mercy hospital and before going to Arizona was located at Camp Phillips, Kan.

Lola F. Wood, storekeeper third class, is now secretary to the disbursing officer at the naval air station, Glenview, Ill. She received her basic training at Cedar Falls, and attended storekeeper school at Indiana university.
