Miss Dorothy Jean Whipperman, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. F.H. Whipperman, 2954 Farnam street, Davenport, has enlisted in the marine corps women's reserve and will leave March 6 for Camp Lejeune, N.C. She was sworn in Jan. 3, in Davenport.
A graduate of Davenport high school, she has been employed as a purchasing clerk by the Uchtorff Co.
Miss Whipperman was entertained recently at a farewell party by her co-workers, at the Open Door. The group presented her a party gift.
