Grace A. Ward

 

 

FAIRBANK -- Grace A. Ward, a member of the Seven Hundred First WAC post headquarters company, stationed at Chanute field, Ill., branch of the army air forces technical training command, recently was promoted from private to private first class. Pfc Ward, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Artel B. Ward, Fairbank, received her basic training at Daytona Beach, Fla., and has been at Chanute field since March 22, 1943. She is assigned to the message center of a technical school group.

Fairbank -- Grace Artelle Ward, a WAC, who has been stationed in New Guinea, since going overseas in 1944, has returned to America, coming from Manila by plane. Before going overseas she was stationed at Chanute Field, Ill., with the army air corps. She is now in Galesburg, Ill., and will soon receive her discharge, and will go to Minneapolis, where she has employment. She visited here a few days with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. A.B. Ward.
