Miss Lucille Sonksen, 1415 Bever avenue SE, has been inducted into the Waves and will report for duty Thursday at Hunter college, New York City. Miss Sonksen is the daughter of Erich Sonksen of Grundy Center.

Holland -- Wave Lucille F. Sonksen, daughter of Erich Sonksen, farmer living east of here, was recently promoted to the rank of petty officer ship butcher third class. Lucille enlisted with the Waves Mar. 9, 1944. Since August, 1944, she has been at Waves quarters "D" Washington, D.C. She is a graduate of the Grundy Center high school and was employed as a café waitress prior to her enlistment.
