Two Des Moines WAVES are now on active duty in Washington, D.C. They are Yeoman Marilyn Warner, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Warner, 4324 Harwood drive, and Bonnie L. Skinner, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ira Skinner, 2322 Guthrie ave.

Mr. and Mrs. Ira Skinner, 2322 Guthrie ave., announce the engagements and approaching marriages of thier daughters, Miss Ruth Skinner and Yeoman Bonnie Skinner, U.S.N.R.

Miss Bonnie L. Skinner, yeoman, second class, will be married June 17 to Corp. Ernest G. LaBarr, son of Mr. and Mrs. George LaBarr of Narrowsburgh, N.Y. Corporal LaCarr is stationed with the medical detachment of the U.S. army air forces at Patterson field, Fairfield, Ohio. The wedding will take place in the WAVE chapel in Washington, D.C. where Yeoman Skinner is stationed.
