Gola Mullihan

 

 

 

Mr. and Mrs. John Mullihan of Collins, Ia., announce the engagement of their daughter, Gola, and Lowell D. Carver, son of Mr. and Mrs. T.J. Carver of Collins.

Miss Mullihan, yeoman, second class, WAVES, is stationed at great Lakes, Ill. Before joining the service she attended Capital City Commercial college and was employed at the State Finance Co for two and half years in Des Moines.

Mr. Carver attended Simpson college in Indianola, Ia., and now operates a farm near Collins.

Gola Toviel Mullihan Carver was born Sept. 28, 1920 to John S. and Matilda J. Fuller Mullihan. She died June 30, 1992 and is buried in Collins Cemetery, Collins, IA.

Petty Officer Carver served in World War II with the U.S. Navy WAVES stationed at Great Lakes, IL. She was married to Lowell Darwin Carver.
