Margaret Maystadt Is 2nd Lieutenant Army Nurse Corps

Miss Margaret Maystadt of San Diego, Calif., formerly of Carroll, has joined the army nurse corps, having gone into the air forces as a second lieutenant. Since Dec. 21 she has been stationed at Deming, N.M., where she is attending the army air forces advance flying school for ten weeks or longer. She is also in charge of some of the operating rooms while receiving her training. Prior to going into the service, Miss Maystadt was employed by Staley Clinic of San Diego.

ON 30-DAY LEAVE

First Lieutenant Margaret Maystadt, who is on a 30-day sick leave form the nurses corps of the army air forces, is spending a few days in the Tony Maystadt home. Lt. Maystadt came here from Early, where she had spent a week with Mr. and Mrs. M.A. Wattier, and family. She is leaving Thursday or Friday for Omaha to visit in the home of Mr. and Mrs. Walter Goecke, where she had also visited previously, and is departing from Omaha for Santa Ana, Calif., to report back for duty Nov. 24.

Capt. Margaret Maystadt, an army air force nurse, visited her brother and sister-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Tony Maystadt, and her sister-in-law, Mrs. Louise Maystadt yesterday afternoon. She was en route from Tampa, Fla., to her new post at Salina, Kan.
