Brother, Sister of Cedar Falls Serving Nation

Cedar Falls -- Pvt. Donald L. Lund and his sister, Janice, children of Mr. and Mrs. Anton Lund, 2119 College street, Cedar Falls, are serving their nation. Private Lund, of the marines, is receiving advance training somewhere in the Pacific. He is message center chief setting up and maintaining switchboards, receiving and sending messages and is in the first wave of troops top go ashore. He was graduated in 1943 and enlisted in October of that year at the age of 17.

Janice Lund, who was graduated from Teachers high this year, entered the cadet nurse corps in September and will be taking training at Protestant hospital at Nashville, Tenn.

CEDAR FALLS VISITOR

Cedar Falls - Janice Lund, United Sates cadet nurse in the Protestant hospital at Nashville, Tenn., is visiting in the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. A.F. Lund, 2119 College street. She is a 1944 graduate of the Campus high school.
