WOMEN IN SERVICE
Miss Gladys Knight has received her orders to report to the women's auxiliary army corps in Ft. Des Moines Tuesday. From Des Moines she will go to Daytona Beach, Fla., for training. Miss Knight, who has been studying at the University of Iowa, is the daughter of Mrs. Minerva Knight, 1024 East Burlington street.

More than Half of Iowa WACs Have Immediate Kin in Service
Des Moines - More than 50 per cent of Iowa women serving in the Women's Auxiliary corps come from families which has at least one other member on the service.

Pvt. Gladys Susan Knight of Iowa City runs a photostat machine in the war department in Washington, D.C. She enlisted in April, had her basic training at Daytona Beach and then was given a specialists course before being assigned to her present job. As a civilian, she was a librarian. Private Knight is the daughter of Mrs Minerva S. Knight of Iowa City.

Staff Srgt. Gladys Knight with the WAC in Washington, D.C. is passing a 10-day furlough with her mother, Mrs S. Minerva Knight, 1024 East Burlington street. Sergeant Knight was graduated last month form the University of Iowa. Also visiting her mother is Miss Alice Knight, a cadet nurse from the Minnesota General hospital. She will spend a week in Iowa City.

Second Lieut. Alice L. Knight, daughter of Mrs. Minerva Knight, 1024 Easy Burlington street, is now in training as an army nurse at Camp Carson, Colo. A sister, Gladys, is a staff sergeant in the WACs stationed in Washington, D.C.

Miss Knight and Mr. Fulljames Married in Service in Germany
Berlin, Germany was the exciting setting for the wedding of Miss Gladys Susan Knight, daughter of Mrs. Minerva Shelburne Knight, 1024 East Burlington street, and Mr. William Richard Fulljames, son of Mr and Mrs. W.R Fulljames of Chicago, Ill., November 23.
