More North Iowans Entering WAVES

North Iowa continues to send young women into the WAVES and latest to leave for new York to begin her boot training at Hunter college is Miss Beulah Keifer, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Walter Keifer of Rockford. Miss Keifer is a graduate of Rockford high school and has been employed at the Ankeny Ordnance plant. She tool her oath as a WAVE Jan 25. at Des Moines.

GETS RATING -- Sp. Q. 3/c Beulah Keifer, WAVES, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Walter Keifer of Rockford, recently was promoted to her new rating from S 1/c. She was sworn into the WAVES on Feb. 22, 1943, at Des Moines, where she had been employed by the Des Moines ordnance plant. She received her training at Hunter college, New York City, and is now stationed at Washington, D.C.
