Accepted in WAVES -- Miss Lillian R. Good, 517 West Third street, and Miss Irma M. Jansen, DeWitt, have returned from Des Moines where they were accepted in the WAVES, naval women's auxiliary, after being examined easlier in the week. They will wait call to begin training at the WAVES school in Cedar Falls, Ia.

Joins SPARS

Miss Lillian Good, elder daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Rex Good of 517 West Third street, Davenport, who was inducted into the SPARS on March 17, in Des Mines, and is to report to Hunter college, the Bronx, New York City, on May 17, is being honored at a dinner party this evening at the home of her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Archie Widdington of 815 Tremont avenue, Davenport. She is a graduate of the Moline high school and has been employed in the mailing section of the Rock Island arsenal.

There will be covers for 14 at the attractive table, centered with a bouquet of roses. Among the guests will be Mrs Nellie Taylor, of Illinois and Miss Irma Jansen, of DeWitt, who has also joined the SPARS and will leave early Sunday morning for New York with Miss Good.
