Cpl. Husband Is Bride of Pfc. Gerard

The wedding of Cpl. Gladys L. Husband of Webster City and Pfc. Bruce L. Gerard of Kokomo, Ind., took place Saturday, July 14, at the post chapel, Camp Campbell, Ky. Chaplain Reginald Rowland officiated in the double ring ceremony.

Attending the couple were Pvt. Isona Shelley as maid of honor and Pfc. Lester Harper, best man.

The bride was given in marriage by Lt. Col. Kenneth D. Lamb.

Both the bride and her attendant were off duty dresses and the bride’s corsage was of pink rosebuds, Private Shelley’s of red rosebuds.

The bride is a daughter of Mrs. Lulu Husband of Creswell, Okla.

Gladys Leota Husband was born Dec. 27, 1921 to Wayne J. and Lulu M. Ackles Husband.

She served with the WACs in World War II at Ft. Des Moines, IA and Camp Campbell, KY.

She married L. Bruce Gerard. He also served in the Army in World War II. They are buried in the Kokomo Memorial Park Cemetery in Kokomo, IN.
