Miss Rita A. Hubert, 1939 West Second street, will leave tonight for Des Moines to take her tests for her physical examination and mental alertness tests for admission to the WAVES. Miss Hubert is employed by the Collier Publishing company.

Another Davenport girl to respond to the call for service is Miss Rita Anna Hubert, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. A. H. Hubert of 1939 West Second street, Davenport, who has enlisted in the SPARS in Des Moines.

JOINS SPARS

Miss Rita Anna Hubert, daughter of Frank Hubert, 1939 West Second street, will leave Saturday for Palm Beach, Fla., to begin active training for service with the SPARS, U.S. coast guard auxiliary. She was sworn into service March 30 and has been awaiting her call to active duty. Before enlisting Miss Hubert was employed as clerk by the P.F. Collier and Son corporation.
