A SENDOFF BY SANTA

Fifty Iowa WAVE enlistees will forgo the pleasure of spending this Christmas at home when they leave Monday for boot training at Hunter college, New York, N.Y. With this contingent the WAVES quota for December in Iowa is filled. Two members of the group, Novalene Howard (left), 1140 Douglas ave., and Jean Newbern, 847 Oak park ave., receive a personal wish for a "bon voyage" from old St Nick himself, who "reindeered" in a bit early for the girls who won't see him Christmas morn.
