Strawberry Point -- Mary Hennessy of Strawberry Point was commissioned a second lieutenant in the army nurse corps mar. 31. She was graduated from Strawberry Point high school in 1941 and from Mercy hospital school of nursing at Davenport in February, 1945. She enlisted in the army nurse corps in March. Lieutenant Hennessy will leave Thursday for six weeks basic training at Camp Carson, Colo. A brother, John Edward Hennessy, is serving in the navy on an LST boat.
