Lt. Gladys Haugen Will Become Bride

Decorah -- The engagement of Lt. (j.g.) Gladys Haugen and Commander R.B. Wolcott (DC) USN, of Bethesda, Md., has been announced there. Lt. Haugen has been doing research work at the naval medical center at Bethesda during the past two years. She will be eligible for discharge in February. She is the daughter of Mrs. Gust Haughen of Decorah. Commander Wolcott is on the staff at the dental school at the naval medical center at Bethesda. He is the son of Dr. and Mrs. F.G. Wolcott, Janesville, Wisc.

Decorah Girl, Navy Comdr. Are Engaged

Decorah -- Mrs. Gust Haugen is announcing the betrothal of her daughter, Lt. (j.g.) Gladys Haugen of the Waves, to Cmdr. RB. Wolcott of the navy.

Lieutenant Haugen is a graduate of St. Olaf college, Northfield, Minn., and received her master's degree in dietetics at Northwestern university in Evanston, Ill. She has been in service for the past two years and is engaged in medical research work at the national naval medical center at Bethesda, Md. She will be eligible for discharge in February.

Commander Wolcott is the son of Dr. and Mrs. F.G. Wolcott, Janesville, Wisc., and is now on the dental staff of the Bethesda medical center.

No wedding date has been set.
