Ensign Edna George is stationed at the WAVE training school at Great Lakes, Ill., is spending a 48-hour leave with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. C.H. George, 705 Riverview drive.

Edna V. George, in the WAVES , has been promoted to a lieutenant junior grade. She is executive secretary of the Navy Relief at Cleveland, Ohio. She is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. C.H. George, 705 Riverview ave.

Iowan to Greece

Miss Edna George, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. C.H George, 705 Riverview ave., has accepted a position with the UNRRA as a relief officer in the Greek mission. She left Washington, DC. by air May 17 for Athens, Greece. Formerly a state welfare worker, Miss George served in the WAVES during the war.
