70 Pct. Of Iowa WACs From Fighting Families
A survey of approximately 70 per cent of the total Iowa WAC enlistment reveals its close integration with the war effort through service of members overseas and in this county, and through other members of their families.

Pfc. Marvyl Doyle, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Doyle of Hampton is on duty with the air force at San Bernardino, Cal. She has specialized in radio operating and repair. Following basic training at Fort Oglethorpe, she was given special training for several months in radio and now is taking advanced course to equip her to take care of radio equipment on bombers and fighters.
