Des Moines in the Services
Mrs. Rosa E. Cunningham, formerly of 1600 Twenty-fourth place, was commissioned a second lieutenant in the WACs Feb. 5 upon completion of officer candidate school at Fort Oglethorpe, Ga.
Before entering the service, she was a member of the Business and Professional Women's club, D.A.R., Women's City club, Iowa Federation of Women's Clubs, League of Women Voters, Iowa Legislative Council, Iowa Association of Social Welfare and the Des Moines Social Workers club. A son, William Rutherford, in the navy, recently received a citation for meritorious service.
