Phyllis Rosamond Ferris Cullens

 

 

Phyllis Rosamond Ferris Miller was born July 30, 1924 to Carey Howard and Clara B. Fry Ferris. She died Nov. 4, 2018 and is buried in Keokuk National Cemetery, Keokuk, IA.

Pvt. Miller proudly served her country during World War II as a surgical nurse with the U.S. Army WACs.

She was married to Jack Cullens who was KIA Oct. 9, 1944. Pvt. Cullens served with the 505th Parachute Infantry Regiment, 82nd Airborne Division. He is buried in Netherlands American Cemetery and Memorial, Margraten, Netherlands and was awarded the Purple Heart.

She also married Harry Breakbill who was born Apr. 29, 1919. He died Dec. 24, 1968 and is buried in Keokuk National Cemetery, Keokuk, IA. Sgt. Breakbill served in World War II with the U.S. Army Coast Artillery.

After Harry’s death she married Harold K. Miller. He was born Dec. 20, 1915 and died Mar. 23, 1997 and is buried in Keokuk National Cemetery, Keokuk, IA. Sgt. Miller served with the U.S. Army in World War II.
