Two Nurses from City Join Army

Misses Lillian Mary Coutts and Cecilia C. Kelly, Waterloo, were among the group of 18 registered Iowa nurses who enlisted for army duty last month, according to an announcement Wednesday by Seventh service command headquarters at Omaha, Neb. Both were formerly on the staff at St. Francis hospital there.

Maj. Eddie Anderson, former S.U.I. football coach now on the Schick staff, checked up on Pvt. (f.c.) Homer A. Gwaltney of Bernie, Mo. The doctore at right is First Lt. L.L. Wells of New Hampshire and the nurse is Lieut. Lillian Coutts of Waterloo.
