Three former WAVES and a girl who served as a ferry pilot in the WASP are among those who have returned from war duties to classroom studies at the State University of Iowa. Back on Campus After War Service

Iowa City, IA -- Young women who have been serving their nation at war are beginning to renew thier education work at the State University of Iowa following discharge from the service.

One of those is Mrs. Miriam Brammer, 25, of Iowa City, whose husband is in the South Pacific. A business college graduate, she is taking home economics courses and says she is going to "get in as much as I can before my husband gets back."

Postwar Home

She says he is an electrical engineer, and they have decided they will live in Seattle Wash., after the war.

Mrs. Brammer, who served in the WAVES from December, 1942, to September 1944, qualified for government help on her tuition and expenses under the "G.I. bill of rights," the same as male veterans.
