RED CROSS -- Staff Assistants

Des Moines in the Services

Two Des Moines girls, now Red Cross staff assistants, have arrived at their destinations, the Red Cross has announced.

Patricia Yates, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George Yates, 4831 Lakeview dr., is in England. A graduate of Roosevelt High school and Drake university, she was a photographer in Cleveland, Ohio and Council Bluffs, Ia,., before entering Red Cross service.

Margaret Reeve, a former Meredith Publishing Co. employee, is in France. She is a graduate of Keosauqua public schools and Drake university. Her parents are Mr. and Mrs. C.M. Reeve of Keosauqua.

Miss Yates Wed in Des Moines

Of interest to Council Bluffs is the announcement in Des Moines of the marriage of Miss Patricia Yates, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George Yates of Des Moines, to Lt. John Driscoll Dearborn, United States Army.

The wedding was in Des Moines on June 4 and after July 1 Lt. and Mrs. Dearborn will be at home in Los Angeles, Calif.
The bride, the former photographer for The Nonpareil, served in France with the American Red Cross. She is a graduate of Roosevelt High school and Drake university.
