Tin Can Commandos

 

SERVICE MEN ARE GUESTS OF TIN CAN COMMANDOS -- The Tin Can Commandos of Davenport provided a chicken dinner for service men Sunday at the Scott County USO center at the Y.M.C.A., using money they and the Girl Scouts have obtained in their salvage of war materials. Kathryn Wolf, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Fred L. Wolf, 3845 Hobson Ave, left and Arlene Smith, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. A.J. Smith, 523 South Clark street, two of the leaders of the Commandos, are shown serving Jerry O'Neill, Los Angeles and Curt Crane, Monroe, Ia., extreme right, both of the V-12 officer training unit at St. Ambrose college.
