Philip Wayne Wright was born Sept. 16, 1922 to Wayne M. and Helen C. Wright. He died Aug. 22, 1944 and has a cenotaph in Winterset City Cemetery, Winterset, IA.
Sgt. Wright served in World War II with the U.S. Army Air Corps and was KIA over Janoshaza, Hungary.
