Walter Winkler, fireman first class son of Mr. and Mrs. Edward Winkler, 113 Fairmount Street, arrived at the naval training station, Norfolk, Va., on March 23 to undergo training for duties aboard a new destroyer. Fireman Winkler served with the Atlantic fleet in the Atlantic and Mediterranean for 17 months.
