Pvt. Fay Richard Windle

 

 

Fay Richard Windle was born July 21, 1925 to Walter West and Golda Hester Stattler Windle. He died Aug. 18, 1944 and is buried in Thurman Cemetery, Thurman, IA.

Pvt. Windle served in World War II with the U.S. Army Air Corps and was one of nine airmen killed when his B-24J Liberator collided mid-air with another bomber and crashed ten miles southeast of the Mountain Home Air Base, Idaho.
