Robert Glen Williams was born Apr. 27, 1923 to He died Feb. 4, 1981 and is buried in Graceland Cemetery, Webster City, IA.

Robert served as a Yeoman Third Class in the U.S. Navy in World War II. He was stationed at the Naval Landing Force Equipment Depot, San Diego, CA.

Robert Glen Williams, 57, of rural Blairsburg, died Wednesday morning at the Mary Greeley hospital in Ames where he had been a patient for two days.

Funeral services will be Saturday at 1:30 p.m. at the Trinity Evangelical Lutheran church with the Rev. Raymond M. Roden and Rev. David R. LaMaster officiating. Burial will be in the Graceland cemetery. Friends may call at the Foster Funeral home until 10 a.m. Saturday when the casket will be taken to the church.

Robert Glen Williams was born April 27, 1923, the son of John and Mary Orahood Williams, at Redfield, Iowa. He was reared and educated at Redfield and was graduated from high school there.

He farmed in the Redfield area with his father until March, 1945, when he entered the U.S. Navy, being discharged in July 1946. He the moved to the Blairsburg area where he farmed.

He was married to Margaret Charlson on Oct. 23, 1950, at Leland, Iowa, and the couple had farmed in the Blairsburg area since that time.

He is survived by his wife; his mother, Mrs. Mary Williams, of Blairsburg; one sister, Mrs. Cecil (Virginia) Thompson of Webster City; two nieces and two nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father.

He was a member of Trinity Lutheran church of Webster City. He was also a member of the Elks and the Moose lodges in Webster City.
