Theodore Edward Willhite was born June 16, 1917 to Edward C. and Ivy L. Ryan Willhite. He died Mar. 11, 1944 and is memorialized at the Tablets of the Missing, Rhone American Cemetery, Draguignan, France.
Major Willhite served with the U.S. Army Air Corps Headquarters 451 Bomber Group, Heavy and was MIA/KIA at Toulin Harbor, France. He was awarded the Purple Heart with Oak Leaf Cluster, Air Medal and Distinguished Flying Cross.
