Sgt. John Arthur Wilde

 

 

 

John Arthur Wilde was born Nov. 21, 1922 to Alvin Arthur and Ruth Steele Wilde. He died Jan. 14, 1944 and is memorialized at the East Coast Memorial, Manhattan, New York.

Sgt. Wilde served in World War II with the 757th Army Air Corps Bomb Squadron, 59th Bomb Group. He was Lost at Sea when the B-24H Liberator #41-28723 went down in the Caribbean Sea after departing Borinquen Field, Puerto Rico, on a ferrying flight onward to Trinidad.
