Ervin A. Westendorf was born Dec. 5, 1911 to Ernest Henry and Amelia Adeline “Millie” Kaiser Westendorf. He died July 31, 1944 and is buried in the Normandy American Cemetery and Memorial, Colleville-Sur-Mer, Normandy, France. He has a cenotaph at Harlington Cemetery, Waverly, IA.
Sgt. Westendorf served with the U.S. Army in World War II with the 531st A.A.A. Battalion, Battery B and was KIA in France.
